inexpensive clamps for carbon rods? microMount & microSpud

I use them for my monitor support, and they are worth the money. They do require a bit of over-tightening to secure in place, but I still prefer them to adjustable arms.

You can probably find something similar at the hardware store and do your own rig job.
 
The Redrock clamps are pretty pricey, but they're worth.
It's one of the few areas I can't endorse JAG35 actually, their clamps aren't that great, the Redrock ones shatter them in build quality and performance.
The JAG35 ones never feel like they hold on that tight, and when you do them up really tight to make sure they'll hold, they become a real pain to unfasten later.
I've mounted monitors on the Redrock ones before and felt comfortable they were secured.
 
We recently added free rod mounts to our line of articulated arms and ball mounts. Buy and arm or ball mount and then pick your free rod mount design. Either a thin pad (mounts to both rods) or the single rod mount and we include it free. Just wanted to put it out there as an option.

Its kinda the other way around :) You buy the arms, 4" or 8" or the ball mount, and you pick either the single rod mount for free OR the thin pad that mounts to two rods for Free. Comes with knobs, fully assembled ready to slide on your rods. This is not a special, will always be this price in this configuration.

For those that want just the mounts, yes they come with knobs already installed.
