I am considering buying a used Sony PDW-F330, but it doesn't come with a lens. All of the 1/2" HD lenses I've seen are super expensive. There are a number of cheap SD lenses on the market, but I've read mixed reviews about using an SD lens on the F330. Some say that the image is super soft around the edges when using an SD lens, while others say there is no noticeable difference.
Is there a particular SD lens (or cheap HD lens) that is especially sharp? Sharpness is my main concern. It doesn't have to have autofocus. It doesn't have to have a huge zoom range. It doesn't even have to be great in low light. But it does have to be sharp.
Although the F330 looks like a good camera overall, it is pretty old at this point. If it's going to cost several thousand dollars for a sharp lens, it might make more sense to put that money toward something newer like the EX1 or PMW200, which can probably produce equally good, if not better, images.A
Any advice would be appreciated!
