Timur's been trying to work the word "fussbudget" into a sentence all year. I think he's just very impressed.

It's true that one doesn't get a lot of "fussbudget" nowadays...Mark Harris said:Timur's been trying to work the word "fussbudget" into a sentence all year. I think he's just very impressed.

It also elbows a huge number of software and hardware developers out of the running, who would be able to offer more advanced, higher-performing products to enhance the Mac Experience, at the expense of some stability and ease-of integration. Which is certainly Mac's trade-off, to make.Eastside Parkway said:Maybe, but one of the key reasons why Macs work better is that the same company is designing the hardware and the software, which allows the two to work together seamlessly.
That's kind of like saying that Yugos will always be ahead of Ferarris, regardless of the numbers on the page...either you are accelerating at a certain number of Gs, or you aren't, and either you're getting a certain number of application instructions-per-second completed for your dollar, or you aren't...Eastside Parkway said:I work on both Macs and PCs every day. Macs always have been and always will be light years ahead of PCs, regardless of the numbers on the page.

I continue being amazed at how mac addicts swallow such mac propaganda whole and spew it out whenever they get a chance without thinking about how redicuous it really is.
On the other hand, you could try not to be quite so condescending. Some (maybe most) of us, around here, use Macs as well as PCs, and simply have preferences different from yours. A preference for PCs doesn't indicate an ignorance of Macs, any more than the reverse would be true.Eastside Parkway said:It's something that I didn't understand back when I was a PC user, so I certainly don't expect any other PC user to understand it. For that, I'll forgive you for calling it ridiculous. Try not to be so insulting, though.

Are they worried that if that option was available, then some people would move over to pc.
Eastside Parkway said:I think that what they mean to say is that a Mac facilitates creativity, because Mac users spend infinitely less time noodling around with their RAM and their hard drives and their virus protection software and whatnot. Tools that work certainly inspire creativity.
My Nissan Pathfinder inspires me to go places and take trips, because it's so dependable, but my last car (a Saab) broke down so often that I didn't want to leave the house.
