indoor arena settings

this up coming weekend i am going to be shooting inside an arena. not a huge one but it seats like 10-15,000. this is my first time shooting in this type of environment and i am not able to do any lighting. how is the lighting in these places and what types of problems am i going to be seeing.
 
well it didn't go to well. when shooting in 24p i had plenty of light and didn't need to use any gain. only problem being there was going to be lots of slow-mo so i was shooting in 60i and i didn't have enough light so i had to use 12db gain and still the shoot wasn't that bright plus i had t he added noise that made it look like crap... i will be trying again in a couple weeks. and again i ask for some tips from someone who may have done this before
