Indirails - height adjustable base plate?

I was looking into possibly buying the 18" Indirails (indifocus.com) as the price is tough to pass up - but their website doesn't give very much info - so for anyone who actually owns this product, could you please answer a couple questions for me?

1) How do you like the product? Would you recommend it to others? Any problems with it?

2) Is the base plate height adjustable or would I need a shim kit?
I would be using the rails for use with my Panasonic DVC30 attached to a Redrock M2.

Thank you.

Come on someone answer his answer his question! I wanna know too I'd use it with a Canon A1 and M2.

1.) Love it! Get the rails and the follow focus and you'll be set. Shot three projects with it and it rocks. For the price you can not beat it. The rails are as light as a feather.

2.) Yes, you can adjust the base plate. Here is a picture of my setup.

If you've dealt with Quyen before you know how good he is with customer service. Tim is just as good and stands behind his products and will return your calls and answer any questions or concerns you might have. He also ships quickly. My Letus35 FE and my indiFOCUS and indiRAILS was the best money I've spent on my filmmaking.

I wonder about the redrock... you can buy that one for $999 but it enables you to get an EOS mount and a rail included.
How about the followfocus, can you use the indifocus together with the redrock indiebundle?

I think the follow focus is universal, so it should work with the Redrock. One thing to think about with using your EOS mount lens is that some of them have a very small focus ring because they aren't really made for manual focusing. The older FD mount manual lenses have a larger focus ring allowing you connect your follow focus.

If I tried to use my Canon still EOS mount lenses on my Letus I would have to use the standard friction adapter on the indiFOCUS instead of the gears pictured above.

Hey Storm,
I just got an Indirail/focus system in the mail from ebay and I'm a little worried about it (not by my camera yet). First, it looks different because the rubbery side of the tripod part is grey, not red like on the site. But it looks like yours might be grey too? The base plate part is not perfectly parallel to the support rods, it seems bent a bit to one side. Will this affect the alignment? Can you please send me a picture of your Indirails without a camera attached? I think I must be missing the part that screws into the camera and/or the tripod.
Info/pix would be much appreaciated!!!
