The Matte Box just arrived in the mail. I must say it looks great on first inspection. I'll start putting it through its paces tonight, and hope to have the review up this week.

I am new to matteboxes, but I have a general question about immoveable flags. It seems that not having the ability to adjust the french or side flags limits you a bit. Again, I don't really understand matteboxes as much as I should, but i thought movement of those was pretty essential.

At this price, I know it's one of the sacrifices, I'm just look for feedback on what is actually is that I would be sacrificing, and how big of sacrifice that is.

you can always use 'adjustable' blackwrap with dakota's mattebox to cut any additional flare/light leak from the lens
