Indie Snap indiesnap.com beware

I ordered a ladder dolly from Indie Snap indiesnap.com and they never shipped my order after I sent multiple emails notifying them that I never received the goods. They kept assuring me it was on the way but in the end I had to dispute the charges with AMEX.

Just wanted to warn anyone out there interested in purchasing anything from that company.
 
Sorry to hear about that man, for what's worth IndieSnap! is pretty much a one man operation so sometimes orders are delay or lost. There were some problems with my order (UPS lost it) and Todd was always great at making it right, with fast and prompt communication. Not sure why it wasn't the case this time.
 
Hey Guys. I ordered a Flex Track Dolly from IndieSnap at the end of May and it took about 3 weeks or so for it to arrive. It seems like maybe Todd is running an IndieSnap one-man show. Plus, dude is shipping from Canada. Maybe there is an explanation for your orders. Try contacting Todd again. I was in the same boat you guys were in and then that glorious package arrived.

Just trying to give you a little hope before everyone starts going for pitchforks and torches (but then again I don't know when you placed your orders and such). Good luck though.
 
I just want to throw out my support in that I ordered the HD Mattebox, and not only did it arrive quite quickly, but it was a fantastic product at a great price. In addition to that, support was top notch and he was not hard to contact at all.


I'm not saying the OP is making things up, it's too mad he's having such issues and i hope he gets them resolved, I just want to make it clear that his is not the experience of all. I'd buy from them again in a heartbeat based on my own experiences.
 
I ordered an Indie Snap ladder dolly last Monday and it came via USPS yesterday - less then a week since placing the order.

Handy little device and runs pretty smooth on a Schecter guitar case!
 
Hi! I ordered the Indie Snap ladder dolly in march and still have not seen any product OR money back. This company is a fake. He had a ton of different explanations, all of them smells like I'm not going to see my money again. Do NOT pre-pay.

I feel so stupid...

I also experienced some delays in getting my flex-track dolly from Indie-snap.

HOWEVER, I didn't have any communication problems with Todd, and, once it was established that there was a problem (it was a shipment to Australia, so it took a while to realise it had gone missing), the dolly arrived in a timely manner.

As others have pointed out, Todd runs Indie Snap as a one-man operation. I think maybe the recent problems are more a glitch, as he has plenty of satisfied customers in the past.

I'm in no way affiliated with Indie Snap, I just don't like seeing people calling to "put the word out" on a business that's had a good rep in the past because a couple of people have had a problem.

All of this in terms of quality is very good, but delivered the product? I have bought and paid with paypal a matte box for canon xha1 on 5 June 2008. I have not arrived. I sent numerous e-mail address to request a tracking number, but nothing, no response. Take advantage of this thread for me to respond by the company and understand the why of this incredible behavior. For fear that my mail was spam in the end, I sent this information with an email address, but nothing. So my question is: get the goods?

That sucks to hear,he has always been great to deal with .but some times things happen.he sent me out a matte box in a week and it was perfect.but only you know your finances and how long you can afford to wait in the end.i hope you get the respect you deserve as a customer,hang in there.
 
I also ordered a ladder dolly from Todd, and a few days later I made some changes to my order, he was very quick in responding to me and the order went smoothly. I just think that this guy is at times overwhelmed with orders but otherwise I wouldn't call his company a fake.

I also had a bad experience with Todd... I ordered a matte box,
February 2008. It never showed up until now, almost a year later..
In the beginning when I emailed him, he always comes up with
differing reason why my order wasn't delivered.

Later on, he simply didn't reply to my emails... Tried to get back my
money with no avail, and I gave up trying... There goes my $300..
Tried to claim through paypal, but can't as it's too late due to the
early correspondence had me believing he was legit..

At the end, it's not worth the trouble chasing after $300 half way
across the planet.. but others do beware, Todd Poirier stole my
money!! Don't do business with him...

As the saying goes, Caveat Emptor...
 
Add me to the list of people scammed by Todd. I returned product to him and after 2 months have not received a refund. He replied to my initial emails with excuse after excuse, and being the trusting sort, I bought them. I've reported IndieSnap to PayPal. I note the business has now changed its name to Flex Dolly. He should be stopped. Next step contact commercial fraud in Calgary.
 
I was caught out too.

Item paid for Nov 01st 2008 still not arrived 07th April 2009. All the usual excuses 'customs problem' (but refused to offer the parcel's tracking number), 'You have my word it will be posted on' or 'SO sorry I dropped the ball on this one'...etc etc etc

I'd like to think that this is one guy who is doing well during a global economic downturn and he simply can't keep up with production. If that is the case why not be honest about it because other companies make us wait - but they communicate openly. If I ever receive my goods I will revisit and give details.
 
BEWARE Todd Poirier the owner of Indie Snap / FlexDolly
I bought a Flex dolly track 01/25/09 and he never shipped it.
for about 40 days I asked to him a proof of shipping and Bla... Bla.. Bla... BS.
then I open a dispute on PayPal, and after a month PayPal refund me my U$692.

I saw a few user evaluations to ebay user IndieSnap, some you can't believe:

the UPS lost my package twice but Tood was Great, he send me it again...
Amazing! UPS lost 2 times same package ..... and serveral single Pakage Lost.
may be the Canadian Post does not like Him.

some excuses I get from Todd:
- check spam folder
-Ok, I will resend info tracking when I get back to the office first thing
- it’s just in customs and will be delivered the next few days
- item trapped in customs
- Bla.... Bla.... Bla...

I Don’t now why this guy have this dishonest behavior, he had a good Product/Price.

He change the ebay user IndieSnap to Flexdolly but his behavior still the same.
