indie slider - graphite / other lubricant?

Anybody tried using a lubricant with an indie slider, if so what type of lubricant works best to smooth the movement of the camera on the slider? I have yet to use the indieslider I just got, thinking of picking up a can of graphite spray lubricant, unless someone can suggest something that works better, or if anybody things using a lubricant would just gum it up, etc. Thoughts? Advice?

just grab the slider at the base and slide.....forget lubricants.

But have you or anybody tested it without and with to see if there is a difference? For example, here is some video of the indieslider with the T2i (same camera I have for the slider)

and I can definitely notice jerkiness; could be operator technique, but I still wonder if something like graphite lube would help. I guess I could give it a try, always remove the lube with some solvent if it makes it worse.

I use to use a 'dry' lubricant for my 'slider'... that is matte cutter. The use of 'oil' in the matte area was like asking for ruining mount boards.

I'm not at home to see if I have a brand name to give. But I'd tend away from 'oil' based lubricants.

Something like this?

Well, I excavated my can, which can be found here
Dyna Glide Woodworking and Tool Dry Lubricant and Cleaner.
At this point take your pick...

I picked up something at WalMart, not graphite, but it is a dry lube meant for sliding doors, cabinetry, etc. ("Liquid Wrench-- Dry Lubricant, Lubricates with no oily residue"; "Aplies wet, dries quickly...leaves a white lubricant powder"), and is dry and says it does not collect dirt, so I am going to try a test soon without then with, see if it helps.

Lemon Pledge. i'm absolutely not kidding. Please, you don't need industrial sliding door lubricants. I own a slider, and i had a carreer in fixing industrial doors.
