Maybe there should be a new forum specific to the film festival experience for this question but wanted to get some feedback.

my movie will screen at upcoming festivals in both L.A. and Austin, TX and I wanted to get some ideas of press outlets that I might be able to contact in those areas that might be friendly to independent filmmakers telling there stories.

After the festivals the movie will be released so we'd like to create awareness during the festival run.

So, anyone have suggestions of who to speak with in those areas?

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks,

I live in San Antonio, Texas and I am very familiar with Austin. They have an alternative newspaper with a weekly circulation called Austin Chronicle http://www.austinchronicle.com/ which is very indie film friendly. San Antonio has the SA Current and they have written articles on the films we have produced before.

Also email Charlotte Hill from the Austin Film Society. Great people there.
