Indie Filmmaker Survey (please particpate!)

Hey All -

Quick favor from everyone who visits and contributes to this site. As many of you know, I work at Avid by day, but am a producer/editor at nights and weekends. I recently put together a very quick survey for Avid to get a high level snapshot of the indie filmmaker with all the changes going on right now in the industry. BTW, the survey gave a minimum of one feature as an option? I'd say that a lot of people on DVXuser have never worked on a feature. They do shorts, web stuff, etc. But these guys can still be the target market of Avid once they figure out how nice the trim tool is and how good the support is :)

By the way, AVID Protools didn't solve my problem last time I spoke with them on the phone. Now I have another problem and I'm not allowed to call him and email takes 24hrs to respond. Seriously guys?
 
I agree that on-set users are another source of customers, but this survey is designed to get a base level of producer/director/editor persona types - how they influence and where they get information.

As far as Pro Tools support, I am not the best person for that as I am on the video side of things but I can try looking into it.

Thanks Mike. I've already contacted the AVID ProTools support. Just voicing another concern about AVID that hinders me on purchasing Media Composer. Adobe gives me a full year free with live chat, email, and phone support.

If the Media Composer customer support is anything like the ProTools one, then I won't be moving to AVID anytime soon. I say this just as feedback to add to your survey.

It would be interesting if you had a question in the survey titled "Why haven't you tried/switched to AVID?"
 
Tried to do it but it won't let me past "What are the sources of industry information you use, in ranking order?"
