What's up fam, does anyone have or know about the Indicam? (Indicam.com) The price is nice and it holds up to 14 or 15 pounds.

It's a decent system and a ok alternative for lighter cameras (it won't hold 15lb I don't think) if you really really can't afford a real Steadicam.

How would you compare indicam with Stedicam Pilot that comes with led, Vest, Arm, Back Pack Transport, AA battery mount, 5.8” LCD for $3995? Indicam with dual arm for 2490 without LCD and battery adapter. From what I saw on indicam, it has a better grip to hold the sled itself. I dont see an option from their website to add monitor/battery on the sled but one of the video demos show it. It sounds very good to start with Indicam before we really use the stabilizer shooting very often so maybe Steadicam will be a better investment in a long run.

The Steadicam Pilot is a much more advanced and refined system compared to the Ind!cam system. The difference is prety much what you see in the cost, so yes, the Steadicam Pilot is a much more solid investment, thoguh there is nothing paticualr wrong with the Ind!cam either, it's just not a quick, easy and convenient to use.

Thanks for your thoughts. I was also trying to see what would be more profitable for my company, the indicam or the m2 adaptor. I know I could use the Indicam for one camera wedding shoots, but the m2 puts me at another level when it comes to the look of my work compared to most of my competition.

Don'r expect the M2 to be a very good option for weddings, though. The focusing and Shallow DOF is practically impossible in a coverage environment...

I have no idea what gear you have; but if you are looking to make an investment to generally improve the quality of your video (instead of having a specific need), then forget the stabilizer and the 35mm adapter and spend your money on:

Sound.
Lighting.

They will make the biggest improvment to yoru production value.
(of course if you allready have grip&electric and sound trucks, then never mind :) )
