I am the film tech at the University of Michigan. We recently purchased three F3s for student films. Here are a couple of screen shots from one of the first ones complete. Many more to come.
Long time lurker on this forum, great info I can pass along to the students.

Filmed in Detroit / Ann Arbor

Looks great. My roommate is actually a University of Michigan alumni from the theater program and he's friends with one of the actors from this film. Are you guys switching over to the F3s for SAC423?

Are you guys switching over to the F3s for SAC423?

We sure are. For those of you out of the loop and care SAC423 is the highest production class that U of M offers. We plan on switching SAC400 to F3 use this fall and hopefully bump up SAC300 to EX3s. Unfortunately Grace and Wild closed and it's getting harder and more costly to get our films processed in the time frame of the semester.

Did you graduate SAC Cory?

I did not, but I've heard plenty about it and seen a few of the films from my roommate. Not sure if you know him, Yuriy Sardarov (not sure if you were around while they were filming Ides of March, but he was in that). I was always very impressed that you guys stuck with film for your top end classes. At the other U of M (University of Miami), we would shoot on Bolex's for our intro to film class, but for the highest level class, you were either given $400 for your budget or 9 rolls of 16mm film, and pretty much everyone chose the $400/digital route. Anyways, post a trailer or some footage when you can, this looks great. I'm eagerly waiting for my F3 to arrive sometime next week, so I'm checking out all the F3 footage that I can.
