Hello everyone - new to this site! I tried shooting some stop-motion animation for the first time this weekend with the HVX200. Loved it! The only problem is that I am having a very difficult time getting the footage into FCP 6.1.
I shot the footage in 720p/30p. The footage plays beautifully in the camera and in the transfer preview window in FCP. When I drag and drop the clip into the box to transfer it into the FCP project, the clips are not transferred completely. The circle is filled in as though the clip transferred completely, but when I play it in the timeline it is cut short. An 8 second clip for example, is cut down to the last two seconds. A few clips worked fine, even though they were shot exactly the same way. None of these clips were spanned.
I don't know if I am providing enough information for someone to help me. Let me know if anyone has an idea! I am afraid to use the HVX again!
Endless thanks!
