Incompatible Card Error

New 8G card in a new HVX and all I get is an incompatible card error. It will not format the card. The firmware is up to date. Very frustrating. Manuals just say this means the card is incompatible. Brilliant! Any ideas?

Hi,

You don't say where you are located, but if you are in the States, call your dealer and ask him to swap it out for you and return the "bad" card to Panaosnic.

I'm at Notre Dame in IN. I emailed the dealer as well and he contacted the Panasonic rep. Bad luck I guess, bc no one has heard of this happening. It is a new batch of cards that were just delivered. At least I wasn't an idiot trying to figure this thing out.

Have you tried formatting the card on a computer with the appropriate P2 drivers installed? Your best choice would probably be a PC laptop with "P2 Viewer" installed. There is also the PC-based "P2 Simple Checker", a diagnostic utility for P2 cards.

I tried downloading that software, but we use all Macs here. Spoke to the Panasonic rep this morning and they are replacing the card. Unfortunate event but quick response.

I had this same issue. Yes, just call Panasonic and they are sending a replacement. The rep from Panasonic, still does not have any answers as to why this is happening.
