SHORT: In Soviet Russia

I don't know why but hearing the first 2 seconds of music I'm expecting lots of gunshots, lot's of music (the whole film) and 3D effects :-p

In general the light/image/cloths/setting/locations are good.

Did you had problems with to much wind in the mic in the forest ? Or was the choice of using only music and dialogues a "artistic choise" ?

Unfortunately audio was the biggest issue we had with this short. Our audio person forgot to get ambient background noise before the production for us to use in post so we worked with what we had and it came out pretty decent.

Don't worry... audio is always the biggest issue for 99,9999999% of "no budget, first time shorts". It's because sound is so "obvious" that it's very difficult.

For example if in a forest you would hear a car passing by (from the road a bit further) you wouldn't stop walking and say "Hé !!!!!! I hear a car !!!!!".
If that same car would pas during a shot and that shot is intercutted with other shots then it would be "car, no car, car, no car, suddenly car" and it would distract and make
evertything fake. Even if you spent 251053453435 hours to make a 1sec 3D VFX.

But sound is not only what you record during shooting but also after. In Hollywood films the "sound team" exists out of about 15 people I think where you have people who only go record extra sounds, people who clean up those sounds, who do sound design etc...

You have no idea how much I wish we had a good audio person that would go out and take care of that stuff for us haha. I spent countless hours trying to fix the audio so it doesn't sound horrendous...
