GH13 In nedd of SLOWMOTION instructions Ptool

Hi,
I have gotten a gh1 recently, hacked it, works great. Now I wanted to try out slow motion in
60p. But somehow I guess I got mixed up, and it did not work.
So I was wondering if anyone could be so kind to post a detailed instruction on how to get nice smooth slow motion out of this amazing camera:)

I have access to Final Cut Pro, Cinematools, Compressor, and Twixtor.
Thanks for your answears :)

hey there, i use ADOBE CS5 premiere & after effects, in those programs you import the 50/60fps footage thats created when filming in SH mode on the GH1, right click the footage in the project window and select interpret footage... in the dialog box it shows the clips frame rate & length in time appears... 50/60fps 5seconds... i type in 24/25fps & the time goes to 10seconds.

once i ok all that i can drag and drop it on a 24/25fps timeline and it now plays true slow motion, the timeline should match the fps entered into the dialog box.

its called over cranked slow motion.

not sure how to do it in FCP tho sorry mate

Which hack settings did you use? You need to check in PTool that 720 hasn't been changed from 50/60p down to 24/25..
As long as you're shooting in SH mode ( look in the menu under the video cam icon ), then extracting slow mo can be done by Cinema Tools> conform > conform to 25p ( or whatever ). This will play back as native slow mo in FCP then.

when shooting video on the GH1 there are a few recording modes you can record in... AVCHD FHD, SH, H, L & then the MJPEG mode, the main 3 are below.

AVCHD FHD (file format *.mts)
FHD records in "Full High Definition" 1920x1080 @ 24/25fps

AVCHD SH (file format *.mts)
SH records 1280x720 @ 60/50fps, i'm not sure what the SH actually stands for but i guess it probably "Standard HD"

MJPEG (file format *.mov)
MJPEG records 1280x720 @ 30fps on both NTCS & PAL cameras.

some of the patches/hacks around reduce the SH mode from 60/50fps down to 24/25fps in favour of maximum stability & image quality.

if you read thru my posts on this thread i highlight the patches/hacks that are probably the ones to go with & some other issues.

OK, thanks for your answer :)
is gop 20 better than gop 2 for slowmotion use (made in twixtor & cinematools)
greetings Lukas
