In-camera settings for best PRE-post image

I got a DVX100E and I don't have the money to get andromeda so...
How do I use the in-camera settings so that the image is the best possible for post-colorgrading.

How do I get least noise/colornoise, artifacts and highest dynamic range with the in-camera settings?

Stay away from fully saturated anything, especially really saturated reds, blues or greens. Use CineLike-D for higher dynamic range while maintaining the cinelike gamma. Try to stay away from blue as much as possible--it is the noisiest color channel for this camera.

Cinelike D invokes GAIN. Gain produces NOISE.

Once you get a nice setting, you can enhance the look even more by adding filters. I shot some footage on the beach down in Puerto Rico in May and the look I got right from the camera (my settings + 4x4 filters I used that day) were amazing. I doubt I will even need to color correct or grade anything.
