hey yall,
im doing a video class at my college and we have an assingment that requires us to make a movie with only in-camera editing and no queing up of the film (no reshooting the shot).
i was wondering if there are any cool tricks that i could do in camera to give it a cool "post-edit" look, like a motion trick to blur for example.

any suggestions are greatly appreciated!!

thx

You say FILM (Are you shooting film?)

You can shoot at a 45 degree angle into 2 way mirror for some old school ghost effects.

sorry no, i'm using the DVX, was wondering if there were any tricks that used frame rate/aperture/shutter speed to do anything cool.

You can use slow shutter speed for a stroby scene, the crash zoom for dramatic 70'ies Kung-fu shots, Color correction with the Scene files- you can even go Black and white, which always looks good and helps with lighting and color problems...
