Hey Guys,

I just got my GH4 a few days ago, i already started a documentary with a borrowed canon t2i with raw hack but due to low speed I could only get a speed so close to canon's native...any way I will complete shooting next week, I wish that I can use my GH4 but afraid of the boost of quality, the documentary will be for big screens and T.V stations, so I need your thoughts guys :
1- Go with canon again and be in the safe side and bring my panny for slow mo and tests ?
2- Use the GH4 only and match them in post ?, but even the lenses are totally different, Am afraid to get something wrong about the feel of the film...
In a few words am afraid that using the GH4 in this case would be a negative thing, yes and not to mention that it will be the first time to use the camera..

All your thoughts are most appreciated, thanks in advance..

If your happy enough with the canon image, why would you make finishing the doc more difficult? Especially due to the fact it is so close to completion, stick with the Canon and use the GH4 for the next project. Also why risk making possible mistakes with new gear?

There is definitely a learning curve with the GH4.
+1

Especially for doco, you don't want to miss some shot because you didn't knew your camera yet. For any other stuff maybe you could try to shoot with both cameras and then sneak some hero shots here and there but for doco it's not worth taking a risk.

Thank you guys for your sincere replys, I will stick with the canon to the end of this project.at least I can use my u3 cards for better results ..
Thank you so much...
