In a bit of a bind: How to screen 100mins of HVX 720p footage?

I have a feature length (100 mins) project.

I shot it at 720p.

I am screening it at a local theatre.

I could burn it on a SD DVD, but obviously there will be unwanted quality issues.

Are there any practical options that don't require too much time, and money?

I'm using FCP on a Macpro.

you can go out of your second monitor port of your computer is the projector and machines have similar ports. my optoma hd 72 projectore works GREAT that way coming out of my mac.

but then again, hvcproHD 720 in fcp makes splendid looking SD downconverts...

Nice idea.

I believe the projector has the same port

How would you export the footage? Just uncompressed? How would you play it, on the mac?

Sorry for the questions. Just frazzled and still very much a newbie when it comes to this stuff.

Any MacPro should be able to play straight DVCPro HD at 720p. No reason to convert it at all. I'd make a quicktime of it and play it from quicktime in presentation mode. Add a good chunk of black at the start and finish.

We do this all the time for presentations at our office

or just set the secondary monitor out as your fcp preview destination and play it live off your timeline. i do that for clients all the time.

I am doing the same thing, Can the movie be loaded back to the P2 cards, so I can play it back via the camera (HPX500)?. I am worried about play a feature HD movie off a harddrive.
