I must have written this post at least ten times.
But all I can say is this.
In ten years people who are complaining about the HVX price and workflow will be laughing at all the people complaining about Panasonic’s New Super Duper 35mm sensor HD camera (that takes 35mm film lens) for independent filmmakers for $15,000.
That it takes to long to go through a 100teragbyte P10 card, and why couldn’t they make it a 65mm sensor like all the studios use.
For me this camera and the DVX are amazing tools. And if you ever shot a film on 35mm, you’ll love what these cameras will give you for a small price.
These cameras are giving filmmakers the chance to complete. Yes, the odds are you can’t make a summer blockbuster with them. But you never know what might happen if you have a good script, great actors, a fantastic crew.
Miracles can happen.
So just start coming up with a way to get this camera. Because please don’t get me started on you guys who want something for nothing and not having to work for it.
This is just my .02 rant for this morning…
