Hello folks. I am new to the forum but wanted to say that I read most of the posts which I am grateful for the shared knowledge. Being a proud owner of a DVX100, I was wondering how we could improve the Panasonic AG-DVX100 and somehow get our suggestions to the Panny people (I know they scroll these forums). Here are mine.

Improving the Panasonic AG-DVX100

True 16:9 and 4:3 CCD
510,000 pixel 1/3 inch CCD
Distance marked, stronger resistance and grooved focus ring to facilitate focus mechanism
Varicam film-like curve
Inter-changeable lens
Shallower depth of field
No clinking in camera
Ability to save 4 scene files (separately)
Ability to transfer data to another DVX101 (for matching)
Improved in-camera speaker
Improved in camera microphone
Improved Leica lens glass
Improved standard mattebox design

I know they would probably increase the price (may be another $2000) but it would be worth the money. Any other suggestions please post them.

Re: Improving the DVX100

"No clinking in the camera"????? No way! Don't ever change baby! It wouldn't be a DVX without the "clink". (I need to get out a bit more... ;D)

Re: Improving the DVX100

uhhh.. that list is kind of futile. might as well talk about a different camera. Kinda like me saying.. well I certainly hope that they'll put 1/2" CCDs in the next DVX100 and let me choose the kind of lens I want to put on the body.

Re: Improving the DVX100

yes.. and its a very nice camera. I am willing to bet that the DVX200 or 300 wont have this at all...it would clearly eat into the 900 sales.

Re: Improving the DVX100

yeah, seems like a trend to use a real name... I gotta get with the program :)
