Filming concerts is my thing. It's the main reason I upgraded cameras and decided to go with the Panasonic GH1+Vitaliy+dvxuser.

This video was recorded in 1080/24p using a Minolta MC Rokkor-X PG 50mm/f1.4 lens. I use "C" settings with a Sandisk Extreme III 8GB Class 10 card.

I was 3rd row and the 50mm lens turned out to be a perfect focal length from where I was standing. All footage is handheld (no rig) held up above my head for the majority of the shots. I used the Creative Movie mode and had similar settings for most of the shots (1/50, 100-250ISO, f1.4). I did experiment on one clip with a 1/400 shutter speed and you should be able to tell by the strobing lights. Enjoy!

Excellent first try!
Next time try using an external audio rig (even though IMHO maybe the lo-freq crossover distortion may be the fault of the house system).

Ciao
