importing issues - p2store clips not showing up

I copied 7 4gb cards to my p2 store and when i try and import in FCP, many of the clips are not showing up in FCP. I see the media in my finder, but FCP is not reading it. This is quite odd. it seems its always the first clip (0001...). i have tried copying the partition to my HD then importing locally, but its giving me the same problem. I have noticed that many of the partitions have the clips out of alphabeticle order. Has anyone ever had any problems like this?

Using MacPro 10.4.9, P2Store, FCP 5.1.4


I would love any help or to find out if this has happened to anyone else.
 
and one more seperate issue. after i eject the p2 store and reconnect, sometimes my finder doesnt read all the cards. When this happens, i need to restart. Has this happened to anyone else?
