My set up is an hmc150, a macbook pro, an mxo2 mini and fcp 5.
Using the log and capture of fcp i've been importing throuigh fcp no problem EXCEPT for one thing that might turn out to be the major problem.
My previous camera was the HVX200 and when i needed to I could capture dv through the firewire with no glitches. Now with the hmc150 through HDMI, I'm finding that between each clip (when i push record the camera and then standby) the audio goes out for a split second- not a big deal when you are shooting scenes that need editing anyway, but when you shoot basically clean and want to minimize the edits and lets say you push the record button 100 or so times at an event- thats alot of otherwize unneeded editing!
Is there anyone out there that is importing through HDMI who has overcome this limitation somehow? Or is this the achilles heel of HDMI importing?
