Importing Clips to FCP not working

Ok so I can go to finder and pick out the clip and watch it perfectly fine with audio and video ok, but after importing to FCP the clip completely messes up. i.e. one clip plays normal when I watch it then when it's in FCP it just speeds then video freezes and the audio plays and it's never done this before. I did easy setup and it's all set on how it should be. Here's a video to, to help you understand what my problem is.

What sequence settings are you using for FCP?

What is the frame rate, grid size, and codec for the clip from what cam?

It looks like undercranked footage in FCP (like Benny Hill!:)) . But it's probably not cuz the audio is still playing back at normal speed.

Wow, that is weird. Since you can open it in QuickTime Player,
it might help to use QuickTime Player export a copy and import
the copy into FCP. That would allow you to experiment, maybe
make the copy a different codec.

You show the problem happening on the timeline, but is the problem
the same if you just play the clip in the viewer?

Look at the framerate of the clip using both QuickTime Player
and FCP. Anything strange there?

What codec are you using?
