I have a family VCR tape that was converted to a DVD. I'd like to work with it in Final Cut Pro 6 and then make a better DVD for the family. I used Handbrake (for the first time, so I'm not sure I did it correctly), which took all night to convert the .vob folder to a 1.36 Gb .mp4 QT file, 640 by 480, Codec: H.264, AAC.
This QT file plays just fine in QT Pro.
Trouble is, fcp won't import it. I get a "file error" window. What's the problem?

ps. the desktop file reads "MPEG-4" and the suffix on the file reads, ".mp4".
