Importing 24PA footage into FCP5

I just had a couple of questions about capturing 24PA footage to FCP5. The anamorphic and advanced pulldown capture preset seemed to give the best looking footage. But I noticed that you have to render the footage once in the timeline. I changed the settings and it seems that you have to render with every setting. Is this correct? If anyone has an insight to this please get back to me thanks.

hmm i never had to render. are you using the anamorphic adapter? if not than you should not be using that seting to capture. maybe this is the cause of the render. make sure your timeline is set up to handle the 23.97 as well.
