Importing 24P (Scene 5) into Avid.

Im guessing im supposed to do a 30i project in Avid and not 23.97 or whatever that number is. I tried the 23.97 but all my footage was choppy and it was interlaced, i guess thats what you call it, when you see the lines of 2 frames on one. So now im about to import it at 30i project settings. Can someone touch up on this for me what I should know that I dont?

If you have the latest version of Xpress Pro HD (5.1.5) then in the Film and 24p settings you can change the pulldown removal to Normal instead of Advanced and capture 24pN that way. But if you're going to be outputting a 30i product anyway, then capturing it in 30i will work just fine.
