imported ex1 footage on mac not working on Vegas

Heya. I just filmed some nice 50p footage and want to play around with it in sony vegas pro 8. I have imported the footage using a mac (xdcam transfer) but want to edit those files in vegas. It does not seem to recognise them. Is this because FCP needs a certain filetype? Do i have to re import my footage using the PC?

I'm not familiar with the FCP workflow but from what I understand the import, be it from xdcam transfer or whatever method was used before converts the data to a format FCP understands.

On a PC you use Clipbrowser and convert to .MXF format for Vegas to use. It then works perfectly.

dear sir, i use clip browser to import files as extension mxf and then when i try to import it to vegas 8.0b . see the result on my attached pic. please anybody help me.
my camera is xdcam ex1 and i have sony vegas 8.0b
i use usb to transfer the files from cam to comp. my problem is i cant import any video shot on my camera to vegas.
