Okay, mabey this has been asked before, but I need it plain, simple and detailed.

I shoot 24p, (NOT 24pA!), what setting should I use to import for maximum quality. I use Final cut pro. and there just seems to be so many options between timline, and capture settings, and actual settings. my question is what do I set everything ot to recive maximum quality? and equally important, if not more, how do I export form final cut, with the best quality possible, because exporting as a quicktime always looks so shitty.

Please help me get my films the quality they dedserve, and set the record straight for anybody else who might be doing it wrong.

I realize this requires a tedious answer, and I thank anybody in advace who replies!

thanks again

Record into Final Cut Pro no differently than you would 60i videotape.
For the love of all things good, ABSOLUTELY DO NOT USE THE 23.98 CAPTURE PRESET!!!

You're on firewire so you're getting max quality.
For 24p (not 24pa) just record normal ntsc (29.97) and edit in a normal NTSC sequence (29.97) You only need to convert to 23.98 to go to film or 24fps DVD.

Note that if you render out any QT movies go into QT player and set Quality to high. By default it displays it lower quality to make sure it can playback at speed.
