If you want to copy files from the P2 card directly to a disk, you need to copy the TEXT file ALONG with the CONTENTS folder. The text file is the key that opens the .MXF files. Without it, you throw away all access to the files later.
I hope it shows up as a RED text file on screen, waving its arms and shouting 'dont forget me!'
