Import prores hq to my timeline

Can anyone help me on that. I have used 2 cameras in a project and are canon 5d with mov files and pan af 101 with atomos ninja with hq prores file. I am using i mac and premiere cs5.3 and was not possible to import prores files in my already existing mov files in timeline using the dslr settings 25fps 1080p? Also i notice that every prores file stoped and record again at 3.99 gb. What was the reason.

Ninja uses FAT32 files system. FAT32 doesn´t handle bigger files than 4gb so the recorder cuts them down.

To the original poster. The 4 gig limit is from the recorder not the mac or prores. My advice would be to use mpeg steamclip in batch mode to transcode only the takes you need from the 5d media into prores. Then setup a prores timeline in premier as per this link

There may be other solutions but this is the way I would go about it

It has nothing to do with "MAC". It is a partition structure designed by Microsoft actually. Mac partition structures have no size limits.

I have premiere and Fc pro but can not find prores settings.
I don't know where I am wrong or do here.
