import/export question

I am gonig to be working on a project soon and I need some advice.

I am shooting with a dvx100a with redrock M2.

I have Premiere, AE, Vegas

What would be the best to import my footage...


second. I plan on putting this on dvd's

What would be my best option for output settings.

I'm not familiar with Premier, but....output via fire wire. Digitize in real time. Use the highest quality setting, (quicklime normaly works). You can always lower the quality when you authorize to DVD
 
Capture with Premiere or Vegas. All you have to do is capture as DV; they'll do everything for you, no special settings.

For DVD, you render as MPEG-2; both Premiere and Vegas have render templates for DVD and for 24p DVD. Use those, as appropriate.

This is all in the Help sections for both programs, so consult that.
