Import and Export from DVX100 for HD results

I'm trying to figure out how to import video from my DVX100B shot in squeeze mode 24p, and then export it to HD in FCP. I've seen it done and heard simple instructions, but am lost. Maybe a step by step guide is out there? Import using what setting, export using what settings etc...

Import, edit, and export in your native DV codec. (Are you in NTSC or PAL territory?) For example, keep your settings to DV NTSC 48kHz anamorphic.

Also, did you shoot 24p or 24pA? If 24p, you'll have a little work to do to remove the pull down in order to edit in 24p (23.976). If 24pA, your capture settings should include the advanced pulldown removal.

Once you are done with your edit, export a FCP Movie using current project settings. Once you're out of FCP, you can use Compressor to "up-rez" to HD. Or purchase Instant HD, which lots of folks around hear seem to love.
