‘Got my B&H catalogs in the mail this week and saw a special for what looked like a $2500 style tripod & fluid head for $149. Now, I know B&H is not a scam operation, but this just looks too good to be true.
There are four generally-positive reviews on this combo, on the product listing.
I am considering these as a replacement for some el-cheapo, 25 year old $39 tripods that I have for my 2nd and 3rd cameras. My #2 operator has been complaining about those CoaStar tripods for over a year, and I think he’ll appreciate the VT2500—anything would be an improvement over those aluminum flimsies.
Any serious caveates about the VT2500? Or should I consider the $149 well-spent?
