can this panasonic camera do the same thing ???

"so does imovie accept full hd footage ???"

Define "full HD."

That is a markting term to mean 1920x1080...not thin raster like 1440x1080 (anamorphic).

iMovie accepts that footage, converting it to Apple Intermediate Codec for editing.

As for the capabilities of the camera, refer to the user manual for the camera. It will tell you.

thats the thing its not my camera
im just going off an email that i was sent asking about this.
from reading the email i guess they want to know if they can connect the camera to the computer and capture what ever footage they have in to imovie09

iMovie 11 does work pretty nice with the cameras I have tried it with so far.... granted they are newer
