Image Stabilizer on the DVC30-How good?

I'm not sure if this is the best place to post this and will post it elsewhere if one of you can advise me.

I'm considering the DVC30 and the DVX100, with most of the info and "only" the money and the weight (do alot of travel cinematography) keeping me from the DVX100.

I need a good image stabilizer because of a slight hand tremor and also hate traveling with a tripod. My old TRV900 was pretty good. The DVX is supposed to have a good one. How is it on the DVC30? Is it different than the one in the DVX?

Any info appreciated.
