Image sequences washed out

I´m using vegas 9.0e (but this issue happened on all vegas 9 versions) on windows 7.

Just try this. Import an image in a 8bit timeline. switch to 32bits video levels for example. Check your waveform and video preview. Is there a shift?

Yes , the waveform and preview shift, but the actual export is the same (no shift)

I'm on vegas 9.0a, xp, 32-bit

you need some more testers/volunteers on win7 x64

I can't imagine vegas would change the handling of stills between x86 & and x64, or between 9.0a vs. 9.0e ?

Haven't tried exporting, but I can confirm a darkening shift after following those instructions in vegas pro 9.0e (32 and 64 bit).

Sorry I misread your little test as full range.

Import still and export still:
32bit video levels => shift in actual export
32bit full range => no shift in actual export

And the reason I was confused earlier about importing video vs. stills, was in post#11 your second example

Now the opposite effect happens when loading still images:

So I assumed you meant video for the 1st example.
