Image quality with 24P actual

I shoot in 24P but have an older version of Premier Pro so it's actually being processed as 29.97 video. When I upgrade to CS4 and turn out actual progressive video will it have less artifacts, be cleaner? Using DVX100A.

How old is you Premiere? I've been working with 24p in Premiere since 6.5, from what I remember. Version of Premiere isn't going to make a difference in quality at all. Might be better at detecting pulldown, but I've never had an issue with that, either.

Why are you shooting in 24p and not 24pA? Any version of Premiere Pro should do just fine with that.

However, when you're working in 23.976 and have removed pulldown, the only real difference you'll see is the lack of interlaced frames. Color, resolution, motion, "quality," etc., will be the same.
