Image Quality Questions about the FS700

//edit 2 - I am wondering if working with the Odyssey 7Q would improve the image quality so much to get rid of the problems. Please scroll down for 100% crops.

I am not sure if you can open the pictures. I can post details. The last 3 pictures show the color bleeding even in the small thumbnail.

Hello,

I am shooting live events and narrative work with the FS700 and am still learning the camera.
I know about the highlight aliasing problem of the Sony and would like to ask if there is any way to reduce it.

another problem I've seen, is some kind of color bleeding in the reds / magenta. It looks very bad. Please have a look at the pictures.

the settings for the picture 3_magenta are CINE3, color level -2, color phase -1, color depth all -2, detail -1
for the other ones I used CINE3, color level -2 and the rest default
Lenses are Tamrom 24-70 f2.8, and sony's own 18-104 f4 . I believe this is not a lens problem, but a color / settings one ?

any tipps on live events with difficult , powerfull, colorfull lights and harsh quick highlights ? (concerts)

thank you for your help :)
also, is there any in depth material on the FS700 settings , so I can learn more about them? The manual doesn't explain too much.. thanks

I've got that before as well for a music video which was lit with crazy colors. Not sure how to avoid it. I have a feeling the 7Q would be able to handle those situations better, but I haven't tested it.

Biggest problem is that bpvenues use the crappy LED lighting these days. And they seem to love to set them at violet, pink, purple and all the colours that are the worst for filming. It looks bad when you see it with your eyes and horrible in camera. I hate hate hate the LEDs at venues with a passion. Honestly, if they have LEDs and use those colours, there's not much you can do (that I know of).
That said. It seems like the FS700 likes to turn reds towards magenta. I've seen that too.

thank you for the replies. I was afraid I was doing something completely wrong.

I will experiment with reducing color intensity in camera and I hope the 7Q will deal better with this problems.

To avoid the saturated primary color highlight hue shift issue, the only way is to use one of the new SLOG2 or REC709 800% gamma curves if you have the FS700R or 4K upgraded FS700 or always underexpose when in the presence of primary colored lighting. CINE4 or another gamma that pushes mids up and allows a bit more room in the highlights can help just a little to avoid blowing out bright colors.

Otherwise, yes many Sony cameras and gamma curves have this issue. The Reds turn yellow before blowing out, blues turn purple or cyan, etc.

Thank you , Noah!

I will try.

I also uploaded 100% parts of the pictures in the first post, where you can better see what I am talking about.

for example red illuminated fog is killing the picture.

I have this as well.

Not visible in SLOG2 while i tested it though, so i will test 4K2HD with the O7Q and the SLOG2 next time. See if i can avoid this problem with a little CC.
