Image getting darker in premiere cs3

It's a rainy day so I decided to work on a little edit... but 3 clips into it, I got snagged up. The clip looks fine in the viewer but in the preview it's WAY darker. both screens are set to highest quality, and the 2 previous clips did not change. Any ideas? Probably something incredibly easy that I'm just looking over.

Well that's weird.

Are you sure you didn't just overlook something? You probably wouldn't have missed an effect that darkened it, but if you accidentally dropped the opacity it would do the same thing. I can't think of any way that could happen otherwise.

haha, such a simple solution! it was the opacity. though i have absolutely no idea how that could've happened, I literally only opened the clip and moved it to the timeline. oh well! thanks:thumbup:
