Image Color

Como's back. back again
I have an image that's great resolution, but when I bring it into Final Cut Pro 7, the colors change...The green in the image gets more brighter and the overall image looks funny.

Can anyone help me, is it just a settings problem?

1. Is it a jpeg?

2. What is created on a Mac?

3. Is it RGB?

4. What you say it is a "great resolution," what do you mean?

DPI means nothing in video. A 1 dpi image will look just as good as a 300 dpi image, and FCP won't have to scale it.

One thing that causes this is having Safe RT set in the timeline, and make sure the image is RGB (not CMYK). Use Unlimited RT and that should fix it, found in the upper left of the timeline. I just finished a 9 minute piece with a lot of images and unlimited RT made all the images look exactly as they should. Also if it's just an image use a jpeg. I only use PSD files when I have layers I want to control in Final Cut via alpha channels.
