I'm selling one of my geared heads!

Hey everyone! Please check out my Ebay auction for this awesome Worrall Geared Head! It's simply a great head, but I have two and need to sell one of them. It was a hard choice, so I'm hoping the next owner will take just as good care of it. If anything there is a youtube video on the Ebay page that is straight up camera porn.

EDIT: RELISTED FOR LESS
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...STRK:MESELX:IT

Relisted with very low price. Free shipping + case + tilt plate. I bought the tilt plate used for $300. All that for 1,900... subtract shipping and the tilt plate and that's well below 1,600. I'm selling for less then I had bought it.... before ebay takes all it's fees. A great deal for buyers!

2 days left.

I wish you did, as well! haha. If someone grabs it for 2,200.... that's a hell of a steal! There are other Worralls online for like 5,000 or 4,000. One is less but I can't tell if it is in good condition... plus the description is really short. Not to mention a tilt plate from FilmTools is like $400+.

Ryan that's a pretty sexy video... lol

Free bump
Extra free bump for the sexy video as well! lol.

what would you get as a daily rental ? what mount is on the bottom ? what did you mount it on 100 mm bowl?

A geared head is a really specialized piece of gear. It could probably fetch $100-150/day... I believe an ArriII fetches $200-250/day. But it would depend on your client base. Geared heads seem to be used way more often on top-tier professional films versus the indie market. I'm not sure why, but it seems to be a skill many people do not have. That's why I think it's good to learn.

All geared heads including panavision, arri, and etc are Mitchell base. BnH sells bowl to mitchell adapters, but if you can I'd recommend mitchell sticks. The most popular brand would be Ronford Baker sticks, standard and/or baby, and of course mitchell highhats and lowhats are available just about anywhere. Mitchell base is standard on most cranes, and professional dollies such as fishers and leonard-chapmans.

I have an older pair of Houston Fearless sticks which are mitchell base. Works great! But sadly they are not included in the auction as I have other mitchell base camera support gear that I use with them.

Indie Rentals has an Arri Head II @ 195/day.
Worrall would be less, so $125 might be a good price in comparision. I don't know though, I never rented mine out.

BTW: There is a USED ArriHeadI on ebay right now for $24,000. Hahaha.
