I'm screwed!

Need help. See, never let anyone handle your DVX except you! I let someone screw a wireless sennheiser mic holder to my tripod plate, he turned it too much and there was a small snap sound. Come to find out the 2 small back screws that hold the tripod plate seem stripped. Anyone have this problem and know how to remedy it? New screws? I was thinking of 'cementing' them into place so I can use the camera. Help!

Cementing with what. I my opinion, even the toughest "cement" will not hold the camera to the tripod plate due to prolonged handling of the camera & wear & tear. Better get a replacement screw of some sort that fits with the thread on the underside of your camera. I think that would be the safest & most secure.

By cementing, you could ruin the surface of the DVX due to the chemicals, & worse void any warranty on your DVX.

Horse, do you have the Panasonic contact info and who to contact regarding issues like this? Is there someone here on the board?
