Hello everyone. I just recently adopt filming as an hobby. I would like to know what the possibillities are with what I currently have. Also what other misc should I look into buying. I'm very interested in making independant films in the near future. Any comments will help.

I just recently purchased:

One DVX100A
Two DVX100B
Tripod
12 Foot Crane with LCD and Remote Zoom and Record.

I'm open to letting people use my stuff with their projects in my area if they are open to teaching me.

yes, i have tons. ive owned my camera for about 3 months. havent used it so much but im waiting for some cool projects to come along. anyways. i alwasy come on the forum and ask questions, like most people do. mostly people respond quickly.(which i love). last night i had a few hours on my hands and i started going through the tons of pages of the general question forum and man it answered so many questions. Sorry to everyone for stupid questions that ive asked and mostly they've been answered already. my advice to you, go through the forums and only read things that catch your eye.

Things like tripods, settings, 35mm adapters and more. it will turn to be invaluable.

some of the best advice I've got from this board,,,keep shooting, keep shooting. Now that you have a camera go make something, anything to get started.

I ditto the above - just add a 3 head lighting kit and you're ready for just about anything!

Also get your hands on some of the following books & DVDs:
"In The Blink of An Eye" - Brown
"The 5 C's of Cinematography" - J.V Mascelli
"Camera Command" (DVD)
"DV Enlightenment" (DVD)

The American Society of Cinematographers on-line store also has some great titles.

Welcome aboard!
