I have an HVX 200 original model.
Ill be honest i am not schooled up on the HVX200a or newer competitors to HVX200.
Anyway after spending 5k on the HVX i really am stuck with it for now anyway even if there is something a tad better.
Ill try to be brief and to the point.
Im about ready to make some decisions that will cost me what little i have left to spend.
I am going to try my first short with the HVX and i want to be as professional as i can.
So i guess my first question is:
What lenses or lens system should i get:
I refer to something like Red Rock M2? they have a competitor but im not sure the name sorry again somewhat new. which is better for HVX? if you could mention some system that pulls focus also would be nice.
Next Settings:
Settings for HVX to get as film like as i can for footage. again i have read some but if someone here could recomend some settings for as FILM like as i can get. I understand you need to be a master to get masterful results. But i want to get as close as i can.
BOOTCAMP series and the book. I have seen these mentioned. BUT are they practical. will buying these REALLY APPLY to your production. i mean there are alot of books that are good reads for "your pleasure" but i need practical at this point. Are these worth the investment? no negativity is implied im just asking input. I think Barry comes here sometimes but hes busy probably he didnt respond to a pm so i thought id ask in here.
Lightning:
What lightning kits or companies would be best to purchase and what type are best: i know of lowell, kino but i dont KNOW them so any input on that would be awesome.
Ok so... i have AVID express pro hd. i know avid has discontinued it. But does anyone have a link to instructions or something that can easily show me how to get the info on P2 cards imported into avid (im going to use 720p 24pn mode btw.
Should i purchase the new AVID ? does it have better import of footage from P2 cards and HVX?
Thank you all for responding i appreciate it very much.
