I'm lucky to be alive.

WOW! Quite a first post! I'm glad your alright, that's quite a story.

I've always heard Volvos are really safe cars, now we've got the pictures to prove it!

I am VERY glad you are ok.

The guy should be taken out back and shot.
Sorry but DWI is one of those things that really pisses me off. you wanna get wasted, dope up, whatever, do it at home where you are only hurting yourself.
Ok, gota stay cool here, but yeah just had to ***** a bit.

...Bah, sometimes photos work better than video anyway.

P.S. Welcome to DVXuser!

Ha, the one thing I regret about this whole experience...not having my DVX100A!!!! :(

Ouch! Glad you still alive to tell us about it! You'll fit in with comments like that.

BTW, I'm with mikko on the DUI!

Owch, good story, glad your OK, but good story. Good thing you remembered to get your Camera out of the car too.

Make sure you take the time to psychologically heal. You're probably just coming to grips with the experience. It's not unusual to suffer from a little post tramautic stress disorder (PTSD) from a traumatic event. I was in a car accident, nothing near as bad as yours, but the experience definitely messed with my dreams and my experience driving for a while. Glad to hear you're alive, and welcome to the forum. :)

wow.. hope your still felling ok tommorow... good to nkow taht your up and walking around though. . take it easy man . take some days off and just saok in life.

One way of dealing with PTSD is to bring the experience forward. It helps to talk and write about it. Writing about it can help diminish the effect of the event. A film might even help, seriously.

You've got photographs. Add some foley work, and add a VO just for the first action. You've got a start right there.

Hey, glad your okay, simliar thing happened to my dad.

He was coming home from downtown, when a driver with no license passed the red and smashed right into him. They didn't do anything to him, but they gave my dad jail time, it's things like this that make people hate eachother.

Cops are crooked in LA, don't you ever call a cop unless you really need one.

Well some cops may be nice, 1 out of 50, lol.

well my father had an "experience" like this, about 14 years ago. he was driving my grandfather's car, and after the accident he found my gf's camera in the car, so he put some photos fortunatelly, because the insurance company didn't want to pay, so he showed the photos and everything turned to good.

ECU. rain beating on the street, a rivulet of water is tainted by some white substance, the camera follows the stream and then pulls back to reveal a clown, his body laying halfway out of a burning pickup truck. A red wig lies nearby in the mud and white face paint is gradually washing off in the rain to reveal a middle aged balding man who in life spent too much time with other people’s children.

Glad you're OK dude. Another couple of feet into the intersection and he would have plowed into your door. Welcome aboard, "Lucky"! :-)
