I'm loving baseball right now

Look ma no hands
My Twins just clinched at least a wild card spot. On June 7th, they were something like 8 games below .500. They are now 30 games above .500. Joe Mauer may win the batting title. Johan Santana should win the Cy Young award. Justin Mourneau is a strong MVP candidate. We're 1 game behind the Tigers for the AL Central title. Things are looking good. I don't care what happens from here on out, this has been a really fun year to be a Twins fan. They're getting drunk right now and so am I.

How are things going for your favorite teams right now?

I wish I could have caught that game tonight. I was too busy running auditions for my show. Sounds like we stuck it to 'em. And whoever was playing the White Sox made sure they went home beaten and bruised tonight, which is also a thrill.

I've got faith that they can still pull ahead of the Tigers before the season's out though.

You must not follow baseball because the White Sox were mathmatically eliminated once the Twins won and the White Sox lost.

He was talking about the Twins pulling ahead of the Tigers.

For some reason the A's just want to be a part of history and lose every single game left to let Anaheim back in. Just 1 win and 1 ANA loss...like seriously. Todays game, blown save...anyways... im still confident that we could be any NL team if we make it to the series.

Boy when you said "My twins" I thought you had twin boys doing well in some summer league. But I read on, and cuz I am so smart, I figured it out.

the indians suck as usual... same with the browns... at least we have Lebron and the Cavs to give Cleveland some hope... i miss the old indians team.....

Me with kids? That would be extremely scary.:)

Huston Street is turning me into a nervous wreck every time he takes the mound. If the A's make the playoffs, I think they can beat the Tigers, but the Twins or the Yanks always own the A's in the postseason.

The only team that scares me is the Twins in the ALDS. Essentially any team that faces them is going to have to win 4 before the Twins win 1 (because Santana will be automatic and throw twice). In the ALCS the Yanks can stomp the Twins, but in a short series they are the scariest team in baseball right now.

I'm hoping that the Yanks have the best record in baseball and that the Twins take the central division. That way we get Detroit in the ALDS and the Twins in the ALCS. Whoever plays the Twins in the ALDS is going to lose, and there is no way with the Tigers and Twins that the Yanks and A's face one another this year.

I think the Mets are losing some momentum but the Astros are heating up.

The scariest thing in the world would be for the A's to implode and not hit that magic number of 2 and have the Angels sneak in. If that happens my Yankees are screwed because to say that the Angels have the Yankees number is an understatement of massive proportions.

The Padres look really nice right now... The Dodgers are looking strong and Nomar is comeback player of the year in the NL. The Cardinals are a mess, Eckstien got reinjured and is going to miss the Padre series, Viscayano left after fouling a ball off his foot, their pitching is a mess, their starting pitching is a mess, they are a joke, but with that 2.5 game lead they have over the Astros I can't give them much of a hope with that 3 game set coming up against Houston.

The Mets were a lock.

The Phillies have a chance and Ryan Howard is the real deal and first legit homerun hitter we've seen since Roger Marris.

The Cubs are fun to watch because they can lose 99 games (5 left, they lose them all and they hit the Prince song and get to party like it's 99).

Some of my picks this year were way off and who would have thought Boston would have imploded like they did...

I can say this, according to my last tally and through 156 games I have missed 18 Yankee games this season between XM, baseball package, DVR, and being at the games... Productive season.

If only Liriano was healthy enough to go... *sigh*

I think the A's can be the Yanks as well. We already beat Detroit and New York this season, but the Twins are the ones we have problems with, and those Minnisota hitters are at an advantage in the dome. They know where to put grounders that are normally outs, to speed through the in field, i hate dome stadiums. Toronto is the worst, its always a 15+ combined runs game in there.

seriously TJohara... i beleive we either won or atleast tied the season series against the Yanks and the Tigers, but the twins swept us even early in the season, i remember it very well, when they were garbage...we were always their winning streak starting team. swept

Went to see my Yanks play the Orioles last night. It got scary in the 9th for a sec but all in all it was a perfect night to spend at the ballpark.
