I'm getting a monopod. Any recs?

So, I was filming with a buddy in a crowd today, and I envied his monopod. It made him so much more mobile than me with a tripod. I'd like to spring for one and i wonder if anyone has any recs for a monopod for a HMC150.

Also, would you recommend a Halo Rig if I get a monopod?
 
558B with 501PL from Manfrotto. The rubber foot is great but you need to keep track of it as it will sometimes pop off but it is great at keeping the pod in place. You can pull it off and tighten the ball and the spike is handy when you need to bite the surface with the pod.
The quick release head can be matched to your tripod, in my case I just bought another quick release and attached it to my Sachtler and then you are from mono pod to tripod in a flash.
I did two years on the road in politics with this monopod and I swear by it. The screw attachments for holding spare quarter/20 screws and the larger are handy if you use any accessories, I used one for my Noga Arm and Zylight. If you are using a rail system get some handle grips and together you have a very solid system.

That's the same question I have going on in another thread. It looks similar to a 701HDV but I think it's a little smaller, and I don't think it's sold separately. Anyone know if it's for sale without the whole kit?

Yea I want to know this to decide if I want to just buy this or instead get a 558B then put a 701HDV on it myself. Can't see why that won't work. Of course the foot is different on the 558B.

Anyway, wish we could get an answer on this.
